Get More out of Your Content with this Simple Framework

There have been times where we’ve all struggled with the pressure of needing to post to our various social platforms. It can feel very stressful to keep coming up with ideas day in and day out.

So, I wanted to explain the method that I’ve been using for around 2-3 years when creating content at various times.

Using this method, I’ve been able to work within a framework that allows me, and some of my clients, to get a TON of content from a single concept or idea.

The Framework

Start with a single idea. Ideally, this is something you’re very knowledgeable on.

Write a blog post about it, then post it on your website (+1). Copy the text and share them as native articles on both LinkedIn (+1) and Medium (+1). Make sure to link back to your website to create backlinks!

At this point, you’ve created three pieces of content.

Next, extract the core ideas from your blog post and separate them into three or so carousels for Instagram. Remember Instagram only allows you to upload 10 images per post, so the content in them needs to be short and succinct. Upload with good captions to support each one (+3).

Next, export these carousel posts as PDFs to then post onto LinkedIn (+3), and then convert them into a presentation and post to SlideShare (+3).

After you’ve done that, you’ll be sitting at twelve pieces of content.

Look at the carousel you’ve made and identify the three best slides. Take these, and after making any contextual edits that may be needed, save them to be posted onto Instagram (+3), Twitter (+3), Facebook (+3) and LinkedIn (+3) as single images, at a later date.

Now you’re at twenty-four pieces of content created from one idea.

Now, take the carousels and use them as a storyboard to create a long-form YouTube video (+1) to explain your original concept.

That’s twenty-five pieces of content.

Now, this long-form video can be dissected into three individual pieces, say. The same number of carousels that were created from the original idea. Take these smaller videos and upload them to Facebook (+3), LinkedIn (+3), Instagram (+3), Twitter (+3), TikTok (+3) and Byte (+3).

This now gives us forty-three pieces of content from our single idea!

Forty. Three.

By using this method, you’ll never find yourself running out of content that can be posted to your various social channels.

To Note

Keep in mind that every concept and idea is different. Some ideas may not work as video, and some you may not be able to get as much out of.

Each piece of content you make using this idea needs to still be useful and provide value to your audience. If you feel like your end products don’t meet your standards, don’t post them!
